Okay so I walked in and wanted a table for 1 and they gave me a huge booth, and I really appreciated that. Second, they had amazing service. My waiter was awesome, and he gave me great advice. They also asked me how I liked all my food. All I can say is that it was all amazing!! The flavor was great!! my carrot cake cookie was to die for I would hold the pinapple on it but it was still amazing!! My grilled cheese was sooo tasty 100% would go back here!!
Great brunch spot, the service was spot on. The breakfast sandwiches were great especially the short rib one. The chicken with waffles was not heavily seasoned so it tasted like breaded chicken that had been fried. Could have been better
Another amazing meal at Rogue Island, made even better by our server, Allie. She’s so personable and genuine and happy to answer questions, offer suggestions, and fun facts about what’s being served (like my cauliflower melt being a staple item and fan fave on their menu for 9 years!) The staff at RI sets this place apart from all others in the area…from the person who answers the phone to set up your reservation, to the host who seats you, to your server, to Sammy, the GM. I recommend this place to everyone!
I went for brunch with my cousin. The bottomless mimosas were $25 but I could only drink 2 with my meal so not much of a deal to me personally. We ordered the Spicy Chicken & Waffles which had a distinctive taste but nonetheless it was good. Service was amazing.
We sat outside and it was such a peaceful vibe. Will visit again
A very cute and must try spot if you live in or are visiting PVD. The service and staff are great, and it’s nestled in America’s first indoor shopping mall, the Arcade. Their appreciation and love of Providence and local RI food culture is evident as you walk in the door. They sell locally made jams, vinegars, and other goodies. I also appreciate that their menu has locally sourced and seasonal produce. I will say their waiting area being on the other side of the restaurant’s host desk was a bit awkward, but I think it’s a choice they had to make to maximize the usage of their space. It also gave me a good excuse to talk to the other diners to let them know they have to check-in at the host desk around the corner. 😄 Their food was good, but had some missed points here and there, hence the loss of a star on food. The tater tot poutine was tasty, but the tots were salty when you took a bite of a tot with gravy and a cheese curd. I’d say if they don’t salt the tots, and pickle the onions they use on top as a garnish a bit more, it’d be perfect. I ordered the short-rib Benedict, because the flavors they had combined were interesting, but again, the execution could’ve been better. The short rib needed to be hotter, the eggs poached a few seconds longer, and mixing the fig jam and blue cheese as a spread instead of blue cheese crumbles as topping would’ve broken down some of the sweetness of the entire dish. The flavors were spot on, just way they were served could be tweaked. I also ordered Knead donuts for the table, because who doesn’t love a glazed donut as a brunch appetizer?! Knead 🍩s are never bad, but if they warmed them up before serving, they could’ve been a 10000/10, instead of 10/10. Overall, a highly recommend and will return spot 👌🏽 Also, they had a lovely server who let me take a video of her adorably chic haircut for inspo—what a doll!!! The entire staff was lovely, from the host addressing me by name every time he interacted with me, to our server who was funny and on her game, and the lovely server who saw me admiring the old photos of the Arcade, and recommended I check out the photo mural wall in the bathroom! Note to the owners, please make sure your staff is very well paid, they’re awesome!
This has become one of my favorite places for breakfast. Selfishly, I waited to review bc I didn't want to share it with everyone lol. The staff are chill! It's busy but they keep things flowing. I do enjoy sitting at the bar vs sitting at a table but either way the vibe is there. You can taste the FRESHNESS and LOVE in every dish. And the drinks whether spiked or not are delish. The brunch menu and drink specials change every weekend.
The Buffalo Mac n cheese alone is worth a visit. Prices on beer are definitely high but food is fairly priced and the bar is a great place to hang out. Classic American bar food with a huge beer selection and a nice cocktail menu.
Staff is super friendly, really cool vibe and good food/drinks.
Wednesday they have a special where you can get $5 quality bears or wine along with $.50 wings with the purchase of a beverage.
For beers, I got an IPA from Narragansett (6.3% abv) and my mom got a Pilsner (5% abv). Both were really good and fresh.
The max amount of wings you can get during this special is 8 per person. The flavor I got was Korean glaze and my mom got the BBQ. We loved the taste of the sauces and the chicken was tender.
I would have liked more sauce, but we were very pleased with our them.
$12 a person (tax and tip) with a 12oz beer and 8 wings is a great deal!
